so sorry you're so worried at the moment. can't help with stats but am assuming that you have a uterine polyp and that your dh threatening to quit are unrelated??? or is he wanting to quit to be with you??? and what is a CP? company president?

mil had a polyp removed in January. She was really uptight about it for weeks before but was told the vast majority are benign as hers proved to be.

Uh, no. sorry, he's a Chartered Accountant. His desire to quit have no relation except that I found out about both today. One of my friends actually jokes about me being cursed. At least I hope she's joking. It really is one thing after another & I'm feeling v. down.

Sometimes yes , sometimes no. ds still yearns for the mountains and his school friends and we miss the cleanliness, fresh air, friends, healthcare, spacious apartment but we have Waitrose , no language barrier, a school the kids enjoy at half the cost and our own 4 walls. Weather has been pretty indifferent in both places this winter I think. But we are due to visit again next month to ski !

quelsouci, I have just had this diagnosis too and it has had me worried witless, despite assurances from my GP that in women under 50 they are a common annoyance rather than potentially cancerous. Sending you lots of supportive vibes - despite having had two c-sections and an induced stillbirth I am still totally terrified of what happens next :(

QS, in this country, lots of voluntary bodies are looking for (salaried) accountants and business managers, and school bursars are often appointed at 50 plus with an accountancy background. Whether this type of job would pay as well as what your dh earns over there, I don't know. But it would be an income...

1. Please do not worry; these are benign growths. I've had one of these removed (mine was hanging into my uterus) and they are another tpe of fibroid. Mine was congenital (i.e from birth) and pumped out hormones. Saw a photo of it post op!!.

I've had one too, only found when I started IVF treatment, totally harmless for me and fairly common I think.

Thanks for your replies. My mum told me that she's had 3 removed so that's reassuring, for some reason.

It's a bit much for one day. I've had my own annus horribilus. Not as bad as many but bad enough.
