...which claims to be 'green' which has zinc something in instead of aluminium or whatever it is they normally have. So why is zinc meant to be better than aluminium? Is it?

yes zinc is definitely better than aluminium. Aluminium serves no useful purpose in the body and is a neurotoxin. Zinc isn't. Smile

do tell us what it is and then if it is any good. I was thinking about switching.

And wasn't the use of aluminum linked with Alzheimer's at one point? Not sure if this has been proved wrong but know it wasa concern a few years back.

Oh yes good points everyone. I just thought "aluminium = metal, zinc = metal" ? [village idiot]

It's Jason's deodorant, and it seems fine. Before that I was using Urtekram which was fab and very effective...until last month when it suddenly stopped working, for no reason that I could see.

i didn't mean it had been proved wrong sparkly, altho there are two camps of opinion, i meant it had been linked to Alzheimers...

Mine was from local alternative health shop but I think I have seen Jason's in Holland and Barrett?

Does it stop you sweating or does it just stop you smelling but still sweating?

Report
ruty · 06/03/2006 19:54

fraid it doesn't stop the sweating only the smelling. Not an anti-perspirant. if i'm going to a party or something [yeah like i do anymore!] i would wear an anti-perspirant. I'm breastfeeding so i prefer to leave out the anti perspirants at the moment. A study also showed anti-perspirants with parabens may have a link with breast cancer.

but i have tried lots of 'herbal' deodorants and the Jason smells the nicest and is the most effective.

Oh well the Jason one has stopped me sweating as well as smelling. The Urtekram one used to as well, but not any more.
