Embarrassing problem Down There

As you can see from my name change I have what dh charmingly refers to as 'gristly bits'. About the time I was pg with dd1, I had a boil-like spot appear on my labia. I left it thinking it would resolve itself..4 yrs later it is still there. Its hard to the touch, circular and occasionally quite sore. It also seems to change size from time to time. It reminds me of a ganglion I had on my wrist years ago, which went of its own accord eventually.

I meant to show it to the nurse when I had a smear a few weeks ago, but I forgot.

Anybody got any ideas? Or am I going to have to flap my flaps at the doctor, d'y'think?

Cheers.

Get this checked out I don't want to scare you but I had something like that and I left it and it turned out to be a rare tumour I stress it is VERY RARE in anyone young and is most likely a cyst but you can never be too sure Go on Monday and ask for a biopsy

Oh shit. Now I'm, scared.

Thought it was just a harmless cyst.

Please don't be scared I had mine for 12 years and was twice told it was a cyst.It is very rare to see this in young women I know of only 2 in the whole of the south east and as I was on medication for other health problems it was harder to treat but still do able.It is more likely to be a bartholins cyst which is what I thought I had until I had it removed and the tests came back.Just go to your gp straight away rather than worry.

I'm sure if it was something abnormal the nurse would have mentioned it when you had your smear.

SIL developed weird cysts in pregnancy .. she was told it happened to 1 in 100 women

they were huge (about the size of a 50p piece and thick) ..

one was on her leg and one on her tongue (poor thing)

she had to get them excised
