Dilemma - should I have a second nose op??

I had a nose op in October to straighten it and sort out my breathing. (I could only breathe through one nostril.)
It was not successful. Nose is a bit straighter but the breathing has not been improved.
I saw the surgeon last week and he is happy to try again taking out more cartilidge this time.

I can't decide whether or not to go ahead.

I'd do it, I hate to have my breathing congested like that.

Way up the pros and cons, what was your recovery like last time? Do you have to pay? Will it improve your quality of life?

recovery took 2 weeks last time
parents had to look after DS (now 1 year old)

it should be covered by bupa again

might not work even the second time
or I could end up with a boxers nose if he takes too much away

I'd talk to the surgeon and find out what the chances are of it working against the chances of it being a waste of time/going horribly Michael Jackson. Could you put it off for a while?

I could put it off but that means also putting off trying for baby no 2
