Pampers wipes seem to be different caused reaction

Will at least I think its that , dd's got a rash all over her face and neck and nappy area and shes been itching and scratching all afternoon. Seems more than coincidence its in the same patches were I use the wipes. They are supposed to be the sensitive ones , but they smell very different to how they have done the last 2 years and they now have a wide open weave and are of course smaller !!!. Do I contact pampers direct? Im not sure its anything else as she has no signs of illness. Ive given her a small dose of piriton for bed to help calm it down, as its quite raised & red on her face.

Give Pampers a ring - the helpline is really good and they usually send you vouchers as well. I find George at ASDA sensitive wipes very good or at a pinch the Johnsons ones - incidently its me with the sensitive skin not dd - other wipes just make my hands cracked and sore.

aww hi popsy , my word we havent spoken in an age , how are you?

Im all worried now in case shes ill : chicken pox(although not presenting itself like that), or something and Ive knocked her out on drugs. Just nuerotic mum syndrome, must be pg hormones.

Ok whats 1st signs of pox???????????? Bum my mums meant to be looking after her tomoz for me to have my scan. PLEASE dont let her be ill , please let it be a little allergy reaction.

Phoned pampers , they said they are very sorry shes had discomfort ,and the women seemed genuinly sympathetic, but said yes they have changed the fragrance, texture and size. They are sending me vouchers to try the normal wipes , as they havent been changed. If I have to take her to the doctors this week if the rash doesnt clear then they want to hear back from me , as they wish to have some of the medical information to look at the causes, they said in some cases the team that design these products and test them may call the doctor for more information.

The piriton seems to have taken the edge off but theres still a raised texture to her face and nappy area. I need to not use them now for a few days and see what happens. Its seems very likely that this has been the cause, as its been confirmed they have changed the product and the rash seemed to appear in the last 72 hrs since using them. What a pain , theyve been fine for 2years now.

Melsy, I'd be careful with the normal Pampers wipes as we found them very, very harsh. They made dd really sore when we used them on her.

havent noticed the change in wipes, but have noticed the change in the active fit nappies.dont like em one bit.every morning when i change dd's nappy, shes covered in nappy fluff!the inside of the nappy (the dry weave bit)is more open and i think this is where the fluff comes from.dont want to change to huggies as my other dd had bad nappy rash with them, was fine when i changed to pampers.

Yes I noticed this open weave to stephanie on the nappies , theyve gone open weave mad! I reckon theyve taken some of the qaulity out of all the products.

I use Simple wipes this time round, find them much nicer than Pampers.

Melsy - I get Simple wipes from Tesco, £1.19 for a pack of 72 I think. A bit more expensive than Pampers Sensitive, but fewer "additives" and they don't leave that slimy residue.

I've also noticed the change in Active Fit nappies. white fluff everywhere - yuk!
