13mo - pukey bug - when can I re-introduce milk?

Dd2 picked up sicky bug from her sister (fortunately dd1 well over it before dd2 started). dd2 started being sick yesterday morning, and wanted nothing to eat until midnight last night when she woke starving. Had some fruit puree then, then a biscuit at 4am, then some fruit puree at 7am. (Yes, I'm knackered!)

She seems ok now bit pale and washed out, but not been sick since 5pm yesterday. When can I give her milk/dairy again? Instinct says try to avoid it all day today, but so long as she's not sick again, will she be ok for a bedtime drink?

Wise words please!

My ds (just 2) had this last week - horrible. Poor dd2.

I waited 24 hours following his last bout of vomitting, then gave bedtime milk, and he was really sick again in the night . I then left it for 2 days, and he was fine. I'm sure the milk was the reason, and wished I'd left it longer.... HTH

She's 13months, HMo2.

I'll probably try and hang on till tomorrow morning then, esp after your experience gladbag.

avoid it for a couple of days if i were you

Ds started with this bug on Monday. He threw up 11 am, then 1 am Tuesday, then awful diarrhoea From Wednesday evening, 2 am wednesday night vomiting and diarrhoea constantly for 3 hours. We have had nothing else since.

He has lived on dry cheerios, crackers, apple, and drinky+ yoghurt drinks when not vomity, and that is since Monday! He is nearly 3, but I made a mistake before of giving milk too early, I won't do it again. Give her a really really bland diet for at least 48 hours. this bug seems to have massive gaps in occurances.

If you give any dairy, I would start with probiotic yoghurts.
