What is the name of that new stuff supposed to reduce the length of time for a cold?

Am off on holiday on friday and in the last 1/2 hour I am beginning to feel I'm getting bunged up. Am hoping this stuff may nip it in the bud, or at least shorten the duration, but can't remember what it is called?

That's the one, thanks chapsmum. Have started the ecchinaciea (?sp) and vit c but would really love to blitz this by friday (as much as possible) as I suffer terribly with sinus pain etc during colds and don't want this on top of flying. OOOWWW.

Get some Perlagonium (sp?) from a health food shop. That is supposed to reduce the duration of a cold once you have it. Don't think Echinacea will work once you already have the cold; you need to take that during the winter as a preventative measure.

Actually, was pmsl at the weekend at my DM because she was adamant it was called Vicks First Response, and she knew that because she had some in the cupboard.

Bit of a scary mix up, if im completely honest!

Oh sorry qqqqv (or is that too many q's?) I forgot to ask about your interview yesterday. Hope it went well. When do you find out?

Typing test went fine in the end but the interview itself lasted about 10-15 mins tops. So not positive IMO.

I think it was the comment earlier in the day "oh, you have a child" when she rang to try and bring the interview forward an hour and i had to say no. Plus the question in the interview "What would you say if another secretary went home sick one afternoon and we asked you to stay late/cover?"

Ah well, its all good experience. Thanks for asking.

I will find out either way by the end of this week.

Vicks First Defence: my brother and my dh use it, and NO colds all winter. I'm just getting over a huge one, DD had it too. But they both say they get some cold symptoms wihtout the full blown thing.

Try Sambucol - it is elderberry and has been proven to reduce the intensity of flu in tests in Israel. My son has been taking it for every sniffle for about a year. There is an adult version as well as the child version.
