Very itchy sore bum

My anus is really itchy and sore. When I poo it bleeds (bright red never old blood). . Have seen doc several times (though they only looked at it once). I've had various suppositories and creams and anti fungal just in case but right now it's as bad as it's been. Help... It's embarrassing but above all painful.

Sounds like a fissure - I also have this from time to time. Main thing is to avoid constipation if I'm right - what did docs say?

ps have you asked a chemist for anti-itch cream? Also helpful.

I've tried loads of anti itch stuff and no luck and also not got constipation

See your GP, ask them to have a look as somethings clearly not right - could be haemorrhoid, could be fissure etc. In the meantime, lots of fluids and fibre to keep things soft, wash after each BM with something mild, might try applying a simple cream to ease pain - sudocreme perhaps? But do speak to your gp.

Any chance it might be threadworms? The bleeding might be from irritation/scratching. Would probably be worse at night, and maybe other family members might be itching too.
You could buy a single-dose treatment from the chemist just to rule it out, if it works then treat the whole family to stop reinfection.

Thanks. Not seen worms in it. Have booked gp for next thurs (earliest I could get for one not a registrar but fully qualified and senior which is what I want for bum stuff).
