Some of you may have read a thread from a couple of nights ago when he was difficult to wake etc...

This morning I woke up late, unusual for when dh is at work as usually the boys wake me up so I was worried about the silence in the house

Wen to check on ds1 and he was lying on the bed, had been sick and was drifting between being awake and floppy and out of it.

Temp was 104 and he was mumbling about dragons and giants so must have been hallucinating, he said they were in his eyes!

Called NHS direct who said they would call back, called the out of hours doc and got no answer so went straight to A&E

He was a severe inner ear infection, the sickness etc was caused by his temperature, He also had a painful, swollen stomach due to him not weeing enough even though he was drinking loads

Hes not allowed any milk (anyone know why??) Got to keep his temp down, Not allowed outside, got to stay lying down and off nursery for a week.

Docs got a bit arsy when I said I didnt want to see a particular doctor because I had no confidence in him and he rushed and wouldnt listen to a word I said (the same one who kept sending me home when ds1 had pneumonia, a week later he was in hospital for days!) Eventually saw a lovely doctor who was very thouragh.

I am exhausted - why do hospitals tire you out?? Poor ds1 is miserable and in pain.

Awww poor lad.

How is he now?

I think dairy can aggrevate things, although I could well be corrected and it lays heavy on your stomach.

He is lying under a blanket on the sofa watching his favourite dvd and playing eye spy with dh. He seems happy but obviously poorly. He was so good at the hospital and was very pleased with his urine sample He held it up high like it was some sort of prize

Is his tummy still swollen, or is their just not much getting through??

His stomach is still a little swollen, they said it felt a little hard at the hospital. I was a little pissed off because after the got the urine sample they wanted they didnt even bother to test it - he just looked at it and said 'it looks fine'
