Dh has glue ear! Any ideas on how I can help him, apart from shouting louder ;)

Take a Hopi ear candle, and screw it gently and firmly into his ear cavity until you can see it emerging from the other ear. That'll larn him...
I am currently afflicted by a dh who stubbed his toe slightly the other day and is limping around as though it has dropped off. He claims to have forgotten that this time last year I BROKE my toe (on dd's pushalong dog Franz Ferdinand - WHY didn't I get a squashy pink unicorn) and I had to get a bus to Casualty to get it strapped and x-rayed.
Ds has already announced he's glad he'll never have to have a baby in his stomach. Men are all jessies.

ive just looked up ear candling on the internet and from what i can gather, it needs to be a qualified practioner, but it is safe for children, could you take your ds to a practioner as apparently, only a couple of treatments may be required and it is shown to be very beneficial. also echinachea and cranial osteopathy have been shown to work, both my ds's have had glue ear and strangely enough, never heard me calling, but could hear the rattle of a biscuit tin from 20 miles away!

doh, meant to put dh, not ds,dont know whats wrong with me, read other thread and corrected myself, i am ill with pneumonia so i have an excuse for being a dizzy mare, i wouldnt do it yourself personally and as for treatments echinachea(im told is good) but i get glue ear and i find only thing that really helpsis steaming. some people report success though with ear candling but i think it should be done by someone qualified.
has dh been given betnesol nasal spray, you use it for about 4 days no more than 7 and it does work.
im off to start a thread now entitled, help, i cant read thread titles properly.

Cranial osteopathy has a good reputation for helping. I used it as a preventative for my 2 kids since my neice is now deaf in one ear.

has he been diagnosed by gp ?dh gets properly (as opposed ot selectively!) deaf every year and evetually gets syringed ! Nurse can do it.

if its glue ear, syringing wont help as the glue is in the eustachian tube, syringing only helps for ear wax which is in the ear canal.
