I'm quite honestly mortified about asking this.

I have quite a lot of boobage (32GG) I've had a bit of a rash for a while but just recently its started getting sore and itchy Blush what can I put on it to make it go away?

Daktacort/hydrocortisone cream to clear.
Good fitting underwired bra to prevent recurrence.

I've had that and switched to wearing vests that had support in them and letting them hang free at night time as I used to wear my bra to bed, I also used nappy cream and after a bath I would dry throughly and use talc powder to make sure it was as dry as possible under there Smile

Could you see about buying Timodine or alternatively, used Athletes Foot powder in the day and the cream at night.

My friend used athletes foot cream and powder because, although they're made for between the toes, under large boobs get sweaty too and sweaty boobage is also an ideal breeding ground for fungal infection (same as between the toes). Canesten AF is usually good, but the likes of Daktarin/Scholl etc, are also good.

You could use the powder for when you get out of the bath. Forgot to put that bit in before clicking on 'Post Message'.

Thank you all, feeling slightly less embarrassed now.

I'm going shopping tomorrow so will buy some good sleep bras. I'm going to get some talc too.

Can I just buy daktarin over the counter?

Hi Memoo. Daktarin is usually found in the foot care areas in most supermarkets. There are a number of athletes foot preparations like Daktarin, Scholl, Canasten AF or Lamasil to name some. Any AF preparation with clotrimazole or tolnaftate are normally good.

I would say that the powder for used after a bath/shower and the creams for a normal quick wash-down IYSWIM. Timodine can be gotten from your GP (not sure if you can get it OTC though). For the itching, you could use Lanacane or something similar OTC. If those don't work, then you could ask you local pharmacist for something along those lines.

Timodine - cleared up my rash within a couple of days. Was prescribed this by my GP.

Don't tell the pharmacy asisstant it's for your boobs if you go for dactarin (or any other athelete's foot cream). They may want you to have a presciption for non-foot application even though it's the same stuff.

Bra fitting is probably the most important bit, and a good supportive sports model with moisture wicking properties may be your best bet.

Lanacane medicated powder. I get it on prescription ( as i don't pay) it's fab!

If it is red, slightly raised and in the under-boob crease where breast joins ribcage it could well be a yeast or a fungal infection. See your GP to make sure though. If it is that canesten will probably work, but also sudocrem clears it up to. I get occasional flare ups of this and a couple of applications of sudocrem (one at bedtime, again in the morning) and it's gone.
