Dh started to feel achey, you know where everything that touches your skin hurts. This was 3 days ago.
Yesterday he started to get really bad stomach cramps and he still has them now. He's also got diorreah.

He has eaten ok not loads just porridge, lots of drinks and he had a bit of roast beef, york puds and potatoes tonight.

Dh is like a Donkey and refuses to go to the GP as he thinks they won't do anything. My mum reckons it could be Gastric Flu but I've never had it myself and never known anyone who's had it.

Any ideas?
TIA

I hope he's better soon as he won't stop moaning but he won't get off his backside to the docs

yep... DD9 had something similar.. she was in so much pain I thought she was going to give birth!! honest it was that bad...

The doctor came out and perscribed something to relax her stomach muscles.. BUT forgot to mention that it can take several days to go... so she was really bad for 3 nights. Days were fine...

if he really doesn't want to go to the doctors, I'm sure that he could get something over the counter...

When I had 'real' gastric 'flu, I had a high temp. It was viral, they just gave me painkillers (I was writhing in agony with cramps/diarrhoea) so docs can't do much, really. On the other hand, my DH (also stubborn) had the achey, stomach cramps thing and it turned out to be food poisoning (chicken) which he did need antibiotics for in the end - so if it goes on for more than 5-7 days I'd lead your Donkey GP-wards if at all possible!

thanks everyone.

He'll have to go as he's got to go away next week for work to teach a course so it needs sorting.
