My son has a stuffy nose, keeps sneezing and his eyes have gone that glazed way you do when you get a cold. It is especially worse at night where it sounds sometimes as if he is having trouble breathing, but is then fine the next minute.

I have been using nasal saline drops and last night tried raising the mattress.

Can I use Karvol, vicks or anything, or does anyone have any other remedies????

Thanks

At this age I used Snufflebabes, which is like Vicks - rubbed on a hankie and tied to DD's crib in a place where she couldn't reach. Also placed it near her during the day. Hope he is better soon.

your doing the right things. make sure you use the drops before each feed and at night. i was told by doctors when ds2 was 6weeks i could use this as much as needed.
does your child have a high temp? you can use a small amount of calpol but i would advise going to the doctors first.

You can also take him into a steamy bathroom for a few minutes. I think you go in and out a few times to help the breathing but not sure.

hi have a bath with the door closed and put your child in the bathroom with you so the steam is inhaled
