my sisters partner has just phoned me to say she has just been taken to hospital. She has cancer,it started in the bowel,by the time she found out she already had secondaries in the liver.she did well to start with and they were able to remove the bowel tumour after chemo, that was just before christmas last year.she had several different sorts of chemo until august when it was all stopped as it wasn't working and there was no more she could do.She was told she could have as little as 2 months to live then so she has done well. The whole family went to visit on boxing day and she looked a lot worse then to me.I had the feeling that she was just holding out to see everyone.Apparently her stoma burst this morning, I'm not sure yet,her partner said they were just taking her to theatre now.She lives in Exeter and I live in Cheltenham so Ifeel a long way away,Iam a single parent so it is difficult to rush done.

I'm sure she knows how much your thinking of her and will understand that you can't just rush down there.
