HUNGRY, RESTLESS TWINS IN PAIN

HELLO. I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP US. WE HAVE 5 WEEK OLD TWIN BOYS WHO HAVE NEVER WINDED WELL AND WE HAVE TRIED INFACOL, GRIPE WATER ETC WITHOUT SUCCESS. AFTER FEEDS THEY APPEAR IN PAIN AS THEY STRUGGLE AND STRETCH AND CONTORT THEIR BODIES. THEY WERE FEEDING EVERY 2 HOURS SO WE HAVE PUT THEM ON APTAMIL HUNGRY BABY FOOD WITH COLIEF ADDED FOR THE LAST 5 DAYS. THEY FILL THEIR NAPPIES EVERY 3-4 HOURS AND FEED EVERY 2-4 HOURS. AFTER THEIR FEEDS THEY STILL WRITHE AROUND IN PAIN AND CRY. THEY DO NOT WIND & WE CAN NEVER GET THEM TO SETTLE BEFORE 3 AM. THEY ARE REGULARLY SICK, SOMETIMES PROJECTILE. WE ARE WORRIED AND ARE THINKING ABOUT GIVING UP ON THE COLIEF AND TRYING THEM ON SOYA MILK. THEY HAVE BEEN PUTTING ON WEIGHT AND THE DOCTORS AND HEALTH ADVISORS DONT HAVE ANY CONCERNS. PLEASE HELP.

I think that the hungry baby formula can constipate babies and make their tummies uncomfortable - can you go back to the ordinary infant formula and see if they are any better?

Don't use soya without professional advice. Five weeks old is still extremely young - hope that they're more settled soon.

Thanks for your reply. Their stools are runny. They are not constipated in the slightest which is one of the main problems...they are pooing every 2-3 hours, day and night.

Maybe they are in so much pain and throwing up because they are overful.
