I feel odd. Have done for a few days now, just out of sorts if you know what I mean, and have been getting dizzy spells which have been taking quite a while to clear. Anyone know of any bugs going round?

No pain, I suffer from sinus trouble anyway and if I lay flat I get a bit swirling in the head (have done for years) but lately I've not had a flare up and been feeling more or less ok, that's why I thought I'd ask. Had to get DH to take DS2 downstairs earlier as I felt dizzy and couldn't carry him safely. Think it may be worth going to the doc's over? I hate going but don't really want to be ill over christmas.

There is a gastric flu bug sweeping it's way around ATM.
Think it starts with flu type symptoms like feeling giddy and feverish then is followed by sickness/diarrhoea.

Labyrinthitis? That's a nasty one to have.

I have had the most horrendous sore throat for about 4 weeks now. I got shivers and aches for the first week, and then I had two days of feeling better. Then a cough appeared. Then I felt better again for a couple of days, swiftly followed by feeling crap again. I'm so sick of being sick!

You'd be aMAZED how bad that can be

Isn't it laryngitis?

I would have thought so, as when my H had it he couldn't even keep water down!
Think it is quite violent, so hope you don't come down with it.

It took me over a year to lose any weight after having DS1 (nearly 4) and I only managed it then after a bad toilet & sink at the same time episode that lasted 4 days. Luckily DH had it as well so I didn't suffer alone.

Think I might go to bed now and get some sympathy (well try to) from DH. Could it be lack of iron due to my cutting out chocolate?

I bet DH had a far worse version than you though!

Oh yes. He was practically dead & I still had to attempt to look after DS (though mum helped a lot thank God).

My friend has had something similar recently and it was an inner ear infection, made her feel really dizzy and off balance, and she felt like she had constant travel sickness, even though she wasn't moving!!

That sounds quite like it. Just poked my ears about a bit and one has a stabbing pain if I push too hard. Could be Hong kong Fooey. Might go demand antibiotics tomorrow.

They always have it worse! Sounds a nightmare though.
There must be easier ways to lose weight!!

Yes, man-flu is almost a killer! My thirteen year old has it at the moment. Strangely it hasn't prevented him from prolific use of the Play station!

DH is always ill bless him. Always exhausted as well - odd that as I get up with DS2 at 4am every day and let him sleep till 7!! (then at the end of the day he's awake and well enough to try and get some nookie! (do people still say nookie)).
