Garlic for Thrush .... how come I can taste it?

I've now started with thrush as well as my cough.

So I thought I'd try the garlic treatment seeing as dh is away, which is why I haven't tried it before (bed will reek I guess).

So this morning I inserted a clove of garlic. Had a nap this afternoon, and I've woken up with the taste of garlic in the back of my mouth. How does that work then?

BTW washed my hands well after I'd done the deed of course.

I think I saw something like this on Brainic, john tickle put his feet in wellies full of garlic paste, someone smelt his breathe a while later and they could smell it.

Has anyone else experienced this? Was going to have some chocolate this evening, but everything has a faint garlicness about it, worse after I've had a coughing bout.

The garlic is absorbed through your skin and into your blood stream. This is then carried around your body and eventually reaches your taste buds. Voila! They did it on Brainiac.

Bit worried about this treatment for thrush though. Where did you here about it?

I can vouch for this thrush treatment. You needn't worry. Also I put a drop or two of tea tree oil in the garlic clove. It cleared up overnight and I was so grateful.

Not very sexy though is it?

great spidermama, how long did you leave it in?

Overnight.
You've probably already worked out that it's a good idea to thread a length of cotton through the clove so you can pull it back out again?

Well, my AF is due by thursday, that'll flush it out if I haven't by then.

Still don't know fro sure what happened to that 'lost' garlic clove!!! Presume it fell out unnoticed when I went to the loo!!! Just glad i've had no recurrence of thrush.

You're aptly named for this then HBDU.

Well be honest, where else can it go?

Anyway, (and I know this is TMI) I can push out a tampax, unintentionally, while doing number twos, so I guess a titchy soggy garlic clove will just go of it's own accord?

It might get lost in the Pouch of Douglas

Easy, why don't you apply to do this experiment on Brainiac?

PMSL

I've made the mistake of reading this before bed ( you know what its like -"I'll just read one more....").
Now I'm going to be lying in bed shaking with laughter everytime I think about it and DPs going to say "what you laughing at?" . I'll reply "people losing garlic up their fanny and pooing it out"
