Citrus causes problems for DD - am I alone?

Whenever DD eats any citrus fruit or drinks any kind of fruit juice she complains that her 'bits hurt mummy'. Her girlie 'bits' then appear to be a little red and she complains that her wee hurts. She doesn't get any temperature or anything and it isn't cystitis (she has had one bout of that when she was 2). If I then keep her off all fruit juices and citrus fruit and make sure she drinks water or cranberry juice she is fine. So I am assuming its down to citrus. Has anyone else experienced this? This seems really odd to me!

My dd (when she was little) used to get diarrhoea every time she had citrus fruit or drinks, maybe our children are just very sensitive to the acidity.
