WEnt to doc today for an appt for me for something separate and she offered to look in dd's ears and throat as we have all had coughs and colds and dd has bene particularly croaky and
tired, no temp though, she vomited on Monday about 6 times then slept it off and has pottered about, still eating and drinking, bit subdued but snotty but nothing alarming in a 3 yr old. Kept her off nursery today so she could take it easy.
Anyway Doc says her tonsils are so bad, they are practically meeting
So Anti biotics and calpol, when I ask dd if it is sore she says no..
GP says she is one tough cookie, she ahs seen ids in hospital with less tonsilitis.
Feeling quite guilty now

Ah bless her. Hope she recovers soon.

I've had dr's say that about ds and ear infections - how painful it must have been and all that . Simiarlly he had a cut on his ear glued together and a filling both without flinching. He just seems to have a very high pain threshold so we know when he does complain to take it more seriously, but there is always that grey area of uncertainty.

don;t fel guilty, you can't run to the drs every time she vomits/has cold and seems fine. It's nice they found it, but I'm sure if it had carried on and been a problem dd would have let you know!

Poor Piffle! Don't feel guilty - if she was in lots of pain, I'm sure she'd let you know. Hope she's on the mend soon.

I had tonsilitis like that when I was little - doctor didn't believe that it was even a sore throat, till he looked into my mouth and saw my tonsils, which were septic! He actually recoiled! Still got the blasted things - and they still get all warty when I get really run down
