Jabs when baby has a cold

What is the current wisdom anyone ?

dd (19 weeks) slightly bunged up, slightly sniffly, but not streaming cold / temp / off food etc. etc just wondering if best to go ahead: 'tis the season of bugs and she might be as 'cold free' as she'll ever be for the next few months or if it's best to wait till 100% 'clear' (paed listened to chest today, no infection, but wasn't definitive on current 'best practice')... oh, no adverse reactions to first two sets of jabs.

I saw recent official papers that suggest that a cold is no reason to avoid jabs...
On the other hand I find it hard to determine theeffectof a jab ( if you are concerned with possible reaction) from cold symptoms...

From what I've seen on here, the advice on this varies from place to place. Our practice nurse refuses to do them when a child (particularly a baby) is ill at all, even if it's just a sniffle. Other practices are different, but ours say that it's easier for the baby to cope with the vaccine if their body isn't already fighting a bug.

Maybe best to speak to your practise nurse. At ours they will only vaccinate if child is 100% well, my daughters last set of the 3 was about 6 months late as she had a catologue of illnesses.

lua: I guess everyone is concerned with possible reactions tbh, aren't they... but we have no particular cause for 'extra' concern IYSWIM wrt family health etc.

Thanks for all feedback, guess it's always 'best' to wait till '100%' just whether this is really realistic going into first frosts etc. etc. and increasing socialisation with other babies yadda yadda....
