What is it about September/October time? Everybody seems to be ill. A few people I know have gone down with various bugs and stuff, then I finally get back on here after nearly 1 and a half weeks off and poor bobsmum and angiel are sick too!

And I've been off mumsnet for the longest time ever (since I discovered it) because I only got out of hospital a couple of days ago. Had gastroenteritis, which DD is still getting over after having it for 2 weeks and which DH now seems to have developed today!! Poor thing's spent all day in bed chucking up!!! And my arms are still killing from having 3 canulas put in and a few too many bags of saline/glucose solution pumped in!!!

Sorry...just moaning!!! Hope everyone is ok, it's good to be back!!!

wonderful bogwoppit!!! ....so that means I should carry on feeding dd in the kicthen and get used to the sea of baby milk all over the floor??? Hey, maybe in December, it will all freeze over and we can go skating! Sorry, my stomach's just starting to recover but my sense of humour has obviously died somewhere along the line.

bogwoppit - the skating might add an interesting dimension to doing the washing up, especially when I get to the delicate crystal ware!!! (and no I don't actually own any delicate crystal stuff!)

ff - cyber grapes and flowers were more than I actually got!!! They didn't let me eat or drink on the first day and I was dreaming of grapes but I got nectarines and strawberries instead. Not complaining - it was a really nice suprise and the strawberries went down nicely! Was scary when they wanted to constantly take blood and pump stuff in my arm! Then on my last day they told me if I ate some lunch I could go home, but the lunch looked horrible that day and the only thing I could stomach the sight of was a cheese sandwich (not good when you're sicky), so I had to have that. The worst cheese sandwich I've ever had, don't think I'll ever eat another one! Bring on the grapes!

Oh wobblymum - bet you never wanted your nickname to be quite so appropriate! Much sympathy and hot sweet, weak tea to you and yours. Hurrah for mumsnet - at least no one can see us in our steggy, un-hair-brushed, floppy tracky bummed, icky state.
