I broke the whole side off one of my teeth at the weekend.
The tooth has had a root canal already so it wasn't hurting or anything like that.. just annoying

anyway, I went to the dentist yesterday and she patched it up with some kind of white stuff.
BUT.. she said it probabaly would last, but it may not! I may end up needing a crown on it

i really hate dental treatment. I am not scared or anything, but i hate anyone doing anything to me! lol
I know that the crown can be a lot of work so not sure whether or not to get it done

My maternity expemption runs out beginning of Feb and if what she did yesterday breaks after that then the crown will be about £150!
So basically she told me to have a think about it and see if i want her to do a crown before feb as i may need one anyway

what would you do?

it's round the side.. . so it isn't really visible at all
if it was a front one i would definitely do it

I think you'd be better off having the crown done now, because a broken tooth can only get weaker. If the tooth has a root filling the treatment shouldn't be too bad, it's just a case of shaping the tooth, taking a mould and then having the crown made up and fitted.
