Sudden acne after stopping breastfeeding!!! Help!!!

Can anyone help, please? I have had no skin problems at all since a few teenage spots, but since I stopped breastfeeding and have had a period, I have developed a really nasty patch of spots on the right hand side of my face along the jaw line - and I'm talking big horrid sore lumpy acne, not just spots...

Is this just my hormones rebalancing? can i take anything? Anyone else had this?

Bumping it for you as I have the same! Assuming it's hormonal - my period returned last month too. nasty isn't it!

I have the same. I stopped BF 8 months ago now and it's just starting to look a bit better (touches wood!!) I was using zineryt and antibiotics from the GP but neither made any difference. I'm assuming the improvement is down to hormones sorting themselves out or something. Do see your Gp though, there are various things they can prescribe.

babies can get this too shortly after they are born as they have a hormone change too.
