he's on day 5 of antibiotics. it's red and bit inflamed but don't think it's causing him pain. should I take him to doctor (another 2 days left on antibiotics)

thanks, Dinny

i would ring and ask cos anti biotics usually kick in and clear a problem within a couple of days but need to continue full course still.

It can't hurt to ring just incase.

the antibiotics aren't for red willy - it's only come on in last couple of days since starting course. wondered should I take him to doctor about red willy now (anitbios are for another problem entirely). do antibiotics cause redness in male babies' bits? he's had really bad naopy rash from them.

actually, now I think of it, he's had this once before and am pretty sure that was during course of antibios.

Ds (14 months) has a red willy quite often. Doesn't seem to bother him. We put a bit of sudocream on and it clears up. I've just put it down to geenral nappy rash. Once when it was a bit spotty rather than just red we took him to the doc and got some antifungal cream which sorted it out.

yes, thrush. ds1 has this - even with some blood. The doctors weren't too concerned
