Could I be diabetic?

Im 36 yrs old, and currently weigh 9st. I was a while back 91/2, then a few weeks ago 91/4 and today I weighed myself and Im only 9stone. I have had a few worries this week and have been feeling sick so havent eaten what I normally would. I do go to the loo quite a lot, dont get caught short when Im out though and I drink a lot, but always have. I normally wake once in the night for the loo and always have done. I have always found that no matter what I eat I dont put on weight. I dont do sport but am on the go with the kids all day and I dont sit about in the day time. Does this sound like I should get myself checked out. People are commenting that Im losing weight and mmy clothes are getting loose.

It could be any number of things. Sounds like it might be worth talking to your GP?

I'm not thinking of anything in particular but sudden weight loss, that you can't explain, should be discussed I think. Just to be on the safe side. I really don't have anything sinister in mind!

I had a time when I thought I could be diabetic, for similar reasons to you, but I had a simple test and I wasn't. Easy to check though. Hope you are ok.

Well, I went to the doctors for a blood test and Im not diabetic, they tested my thyroid and other stuff and all has come back normal. I guess I should go back to see the doctor if I continue to loose wait, I have tried to eat more this week and have put a bit on so will do that for a few weeks and see what happens.
