Sorry if this thread makes you want to puke but I must go into detail.

For the last few periods I have had I have had trouble inserting tampons. In fact, they aactually seem to be pushing themselves out after about an hour of putting them in.

After a quick self examaniation, I could feel 'something up there' but could not actually feel what I was pressing iyswim.

Eeek

Sex has also been uncomfortable in the past, as if my partner was 'banging' into something

Has anyone else experienced this, I am 26 with two kids.

I hate going to the doctor for this sort of thing, but know I will probably have to. I'm worried that I'll have to have a hysterectomy or something, or that its a growth or something.

Help!!!!!!!!!

You poor thing. Unfortunately I think the only sound advice we can give you is to see your GP. Really hope everything is ok for you

It may be your cervix you're feeling up there which is perhaps lower than it used to be before you had babies. (mine is).

It's amazing how much we change shape after having babies.

Don't worry unduly. My tampons (when I used them) used to fall out if I ... er ... went to the lavatory for a longer time (Iyswim) . Now I use a Mooncup and it is brilliant.

It would be worth getting the doc to have a quick look. You can ask for a woman if you like. Also, as you probably know, DO YOUR PELVIC FLOOR EXERCISES. Really that goes for all of us, but I know myself how hard it is to keep it up. As it were.

Thanks. Going to gross you all out again - I only have to 'probe' (vomit) a bit until I feel something. Very very worried.

Does the 'thing' move when you bear down. Have a good feel of get an anglepoise lamp and a mirror and have a good look.
If it's like the shape of the narrow end of a pear (without the stalk of course) then it's likely to be your cervix.
If it hurt during sex then you should get someone to have a look.
What is putting you off? Is it the fear they might suggest hysterectomy?

I can just imagine the doctor peering 'in' and a look of horror on her face incase its a huge cancerous growth or something.

I'm going to have to have another look tonight when kids are in bed (don't want them to catch me - scar them for life!)

The fear of an operation too - I haven't got time to be ill!!!

btw thank you Spidermama for making me chuckle.
