Who to complain to?

DS1 had a long awaited ENT appointment today. Needed to find out if his grommets were still in place, (he has glue ear as well as a permanent deafness). We waited over an hour in a general outpatients waiting room, eventually we were called by an audiologist who wanted to test his hearing, he is not supposed to have hearing tests at this hospital as he is notoriously difficult to test and the idea is not to wind him up by overtesting, his routine appontment is next week. The audiologist had no information so was testing at a level he couldn't hear. Eventually we were sent back to the waiting room to wait for the doctor, he took a cursery look in his ears, said they were blocked (thats why were there) and we would have to be refered to have them unblocked. Basically we were there 2 hours to be told what we already knew, DS1 can hear less than ever, he is struggling with the sounds at school (just started reception)and we now have to wait for another appointment (took 2 months to get this one).
Anyone know what the route is to complain. This involved a morning out of school (he only does half days) and he has appointments for the next 2 weeks at his other hospital which is a 40 minute drive away and will mean more missed school.

Complain direct to the chief executive of the hospital trust - you can usually find their name and address on the website. Look and see if there's a head of complaints and copy them in if so. Worked for me.

Sorry you had such an aggravating disappointing appointment.
