Just taken our toddler to doctors as is tiptoeing constantly, tendons or something are not long enough, not sure what they can do, waiting to see specialist. Has anyone else had this problem with their little one ?

My ds does this. I don't think he has problems with his tendons though as he is able to put his feet flat and walks backwards normally!! I know a little girl of 3 who had her feet put in plaster to try to keep her feet flat and it hasn't made any difference, she still walks on her toes. Hopefully the specialist will be able to help your child.

Yes, ds3 did this and has seen a chiropodist. He needs to exercise his calf muscles.

Both my children did this and DS (4) still does occasionally. If your child can also walk normally with and without shoes I don't think there is a problem. If they can't then possibly there is. If you have seen the doc then trust his judgment as well as your opinion on whether there is a problem. I noticed a couple of toddlers recently doing this at a family party and we discussed it then and concluded that they all do it!
