Black Lines on Front Baby Teeth - any mumsnet dentists?

Okay, I'm probably COMPLETELY overreacting and he's probably just chewed off a bit of paint from a toy and it won't come off his teeth but...

... is there likely to be any significance to two very thin black lines on my 15 month old's top baby teeth (one line dead centre on each tooth) which won't come off with gentle rubbing? Has he damaged them somehow? Or is it likely to be toy paint and I should just shut up, go away and stop being paranoid?...

Vertical - the line is from top to bottom and really quite thin.

I think it's developed recently, at least, I haven't noticed them before.

Gawd ... pregnancy, feels like miles away now - nope, had some special vitamin pills or other before the birth as I had obstetric cholestasis and I had an antibody injection against chickenpox, but don't remember any antibiotics at any time.

He drinks from an Avent Magicup (green spout).

Oh missed a question - yes, does only appear to be those two, although he's teething at the moment and fights any inspection of his mouth.

Thanks Happymum. I do have a feeling DS1 had antibiotics when he was tiny, so possibly that. I thought he had gone at his teeth with a biro .

A firend of mine had this with her son and was advised that antibiotics in non-organic cow's milk could possibly be the cause.

My oldest son had brown marks on his 2 front teeth, I was advised by my dentist it was caused by either a calcium deficiency or the antibiotics that he was given when he was a baby.
My forth boy has 1 front tooth like that and he was given antibiotics as a baby aswell.
