Wondering if anyone has any experience of any of the Greek islands in October. We would love to go at half term but could it be wet?

We have young DC and would love sunshine, but not too long on a plane if possible.
Thank you

yes, it could be wet and cool. Resorts do stay open for the lucrative October half term but you take your chances.

go as far south as possible - that really means Crete.

Rhodes in October half term was bright and warm and sunny for us...although on our final night there was a big storm....
also the locals were in a good mood cos it was the very end of the season.
had a lovely time!

not sure I would call it sunshine at the end of October/beginning of nov. when we went it was very cool and not beach weather at all. certainly not guaranteed. you just need to go as far south as you can.

Agree with you all! My dads sister lives on Zante and last year we did the scottish October half term, ie 10th - 17th October. It rained a lot and was cool weather. Did murcia in Spain last year, it was 23 degrees and sunbr. Would not do Greece again in oct. just too high risk!

Meant to say Greece was 2 years ago sorry!

Zante, definitely not, there is a reason why it is so green!
Crete or Rhodes, yes.

Cyprus is usually still hot and sunny for October half term. Would recommend Paphos or Limassol as they are year-round resorts, whereas a lot of restaurants and hotels in Ayia Napa/Proteras close for the winter season.
