Does Leeds Airport have a 'Boots' store?

Travelling in August with a 7 month old. I will need to take formula milk as well as baby food but with so much uncertainty regarding what to take through security, I'd rather buy formula cartons once through security.

So, does Leeds Bradford Airport have a boots and does it sell formula cartons?

I have had mixed advice regarding this. Some say take formula ready mixed in baby bottles (I would prefer this as then I know boiling water has sterilised the formula), some say take sterilised water and formula powder separate (I don't like this as the sterilised water will be cold and not hot enough to kill potential bacteria in the formula) and others say take cartons, but they're 200ml each!!

What do I do???

No, but theres a WHSmith airside and they'll sell cartons when theres no Boots airside.

Take two bottles, and put the excess from the carton in the second bottle and in a coolbag for later use

I'd take one-bottle size cartons - then you dont have to worry about the storage temperature or time between making up the milk and drinking it.

Cant help with the Boots question though - I have been to Leeds airport and its small with very little shops from memory. I couldnt see one on
here

I think there's a Superdrug rather than Boots but it's before you go through passport control so not much help.

Thanks.

never thought about pouring carton milk into baby bottles! Duh!

Crisis averted me thinks!!!

I've taken a carton before and just popped it into a bottle before going through security, so that I wasn't worried about it being opened for hours.

I've also taken pre-measured formula powder, in a bottle or 2 , and then asked in a cafe (airside)for hot water, and they always are happy to oblige for a baby (If its hot enough for a cuppa it will be hot enough to sterilise the powder)

Be prepared to taste the milk though at security though, I had to do that when breastfeeding and i had a bottle of expressed milk with me-yuck!

Hope that helps!

Thanks Andie20521

On a strange note, when expressing milk into a bottle, I tasted it to check the temp. Quite nice - better than Aptamil which tastes like fish! (supposedly it has fish in it!)

I found it very sweet! Formula makes me want to gag though!

One time when I forgot to decant it into the bottle, they were very nice, they opened it and put it in the bottle, before making me taste it. (Although I still had to have everything rescanned through the machine, so better to have it seperate for presenting to them)

There's a small Boots aireside but i don't know if sells formula milk. I've always travelled with powdered milk, empty (sterilized) bottles and mixed with mineral water when required.

How long is your flight?

sorry that should have said airside
