We are fully protected with Bullguard anti-virus and all that. I scan the computer and the viruses are sorted. But I keep getting pop ups when I know these are all turned off. Any ideas? Please

Are these pop ups coming from Mumsnet? Anyone else having problems?

What pop ups are they?

The pop up seem to be adverts - car sales etc. Zeda.com I just can't work it out. Yesterday I kept getting reminders to scan my computer for viruses from windows 1998 but it did not look real and we don't have any anti-virus through windows. It was hard to shut down, a new window kept popping up. I have just run a scan by Bullguard and it says we are clear now. Yesterday there were five high security alerts but I am still getting pop-ups.

Did it look like this?

Is it a Bullguard popup telling you it has protected you? If so see this page on their forum

you need to scan your computer with something like spybot, it will get rid of any pop ups

Bubblerock. I am worried about trusting the site you have linked me to. It is definitely that virus that we have. Do I follow the instructions to remove it or trust that my Bullguard has done it for me. All I am getting today is random pop-ups rather that the pages in the link. Thanks prettymum. Will look at that link too.

I had it on my PC last week and my anti virus couldn't get rid of it and allowed it on the pc. I was also worried about downloading from that site, but it was absolutely fine - just follow the instructions and it will get rid of it. Spybot doesn't get rid of it either I'm afraid - it's a really horrible virus.
