Digital Photo frame - help!

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 01/12/2008 19:36

I am thinking of buying one for the inlaws so they can have lots of photos of the grandchildren but all my photos have been taken off my memory card and put on my laptop.
How would I get them onto the frame?

sorry to be so thick

I've been looking at these for the inlaws too! Some seem to have USB ports which I'm guessing means you can connect them direct to your pc.

The jessops website seems to list a full spec for the ones they sell.

I'm no techy though (haven't even got a digital camera yet) so hopefully someone else will be along....

you put your pics on a memory stck/pen drive and plus em into the back/side of the frame; in the usb

if it is for your use you can plug camerea straight in

You can put them back on a memory card from your computer the same way you took them off (use copy instead of move, so you keep them on your laptop as well), or on to a different memory card if you buy a frame that uses a different one.

Easiest way is to buy a memory card like you put into your camera. SD for example.

Put your new SD card into your camera and then transfer your photos from PC to Camera (SD card) - the opposite that you normally do. Then put the SD ard into frame.

So make sure the frame you buy is compatible with the same memory as your camera. I think that virtually all frames are SD card compatible. Not all are xD or Sony memory stck compatible though

Lots of laptops now have a memory card slot, which is the easiest way to transfer them.

As DoNot says, it's best to get a frame that takes the same kind of card as your camera - then you'll be able to show your in-laws any new photos straight from the card whenever you're there.
