On Internet Explorer, I think you just choose Tools, Internet options, delete cookies.

It worked thanks but can I be really thick and ask what cookies are?

Think little 'post-it notes' put there by websites you've been to. They are named after the website generally speaking and are supposed (I think) to be only accessed by the website that put them there. They identify you to the website and sometimes store your preferences, your password (in code) etc

Go to Documents and settings, look in the folder named after your PC username and there should be a cookie folder. You can load one into a text editor and look. There should be a mumsnet one there.
