email isn't sending all messages

even though it says it's been sent, people keep saying they never received email?

Sent just means it's got to the first mail server in the chain. Unless you can access all the server logs for both your ISP and the receiving ISP, you can't really track it. Email is not a reliable service, although it may look like it if you're lucky.

Sadly people like hotmail are notorious for just dumping incoming mail. I recently saw a claim that 2 emails sent to hotmail were identical except that one mentioned gmail and the other had a different word. The one mentioning gmail just disappeared, the other one got through.

well it only seems to be ones like tiscali and hotmail that fail.
