Virus problems and different scanners.

Hi there,
Wonder if anyone can help. We've had recent virus problems (including bank fraud) and it transpires Norton was not doing its job. We've now switched to Kaspersky, and it reports that all is now clear. However, when we do a virus scan with F-Secure (as requested by our bank) we keep getting that dialer.dam is in C:\Windows\system32\tcpdiss.exe

F-Secure says that it cleans it, but if you run the scan again it is still there. Also - whenever we get to the point of asking for a report, the whole screen freezes, so we don't manage to produce a report.

(I also don't understand why Kaspersky and Spy-Bot don't pick this up... but that is another question!)

Has anyone got any suggestions for what we should be doing to get rid of dialer.dam, and produce a report?
Any help would be hugely appreciated!
thanks,
madcows

Have you googled it? Or looked on the Norton site which gives detailed instructions on how to remove stuff. Sometimes you have to do things like disabling system backup before removing the virusy thing or the it just reloads itself.

This gives some other names for dialer.dam which you can also search for since I got hardly any hits for this one. It also tells you some files that are part of it.

It has a removal section but it's not very clear as it just names files.
