Help with scanned letter

I have scanned a "begging" letter to send out to try and get raffle prizes in for your school fete, unfortunatley where I have scanned the letter its is now the size of a picture and when you open the attachment you cant read it as it is too small to read.

Any idea how I can make it bigger or change the attachment so its legiable??

Thanks

When you scanned it the first time it will have saved it somewhere. If you can find the original copy it saved you can see how big the file size is (which tells us a bit) and what filetype it is.

Perhaps you choose an option when scanning it to make it small. You may need to scan it again while looking carefully at the options.

I don't know what software you have, but most images can be viewed by dragging them into an Internet Explorer windows just to get an idea of how big they look. Because if it looks big in there then its something to do with how it was attached to the email

You could use graphics software to make it bigger, but that will also increase the filesize, do take a lot longer to download.

Personally, if you are planning to send the letter via e-mail, for someone to read on their computer... I would rewrite it, as an e-mail.
I get letters from school PTA's on occasion asking for raffle donations, asking if I want a stall, sponsor a newsletter etc. They must think I'm a big corporate or something! If I got an e-mail with an attachment - it would more thank likely get binned, it may not even get past my spam filters.

I would suggest composing a short e-mail, couple of paragraphs which introduces who YOU are, the school you are fund raising for, what it is you are wanting and providing your contact details so they can find out more.
I would suggest following up after a few days with a phone call. It is also often worth calling before sending an e-mail to ask the company who would be the best person to send the e-mail to... you want to contact the person with the money/decision maker, not some sales person.

Another thing you may want to try, is printing out some A4 posters to advertise the event... then going physically around local shops and asking if they would display the poster in their window. At the same time, you could ask the owner if they would consider donating a small raffle prize.
