Can I upload a photo to my profile from my mobile?

I'm trying to upload but my mobile tells me that I need a shozu.com acct. Fair enough, ecxept it won't let me activate a shozu acct.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Do you have a computer and software which will enable you to connect your mobile to the computer? If so, then easiest way is to download the photo to your computer, using the software supplied with your phone... then upload that image.

Doing it all from your mobile... hmm, not sure about that. Any idea what browser your mobile is using?

Can you not bluetooth photo from your phone to your laptop and do it that way?

Thanks nannynick, no I don't think I have any eqipment for the laptop. My options on my mobile led me to believe I could just e mail my photo to that e mail on the net but it won't allow me to acces their site ie log in. Never mind. I will eventually get my printer working that has a scanner but that's a whole different problem.

Actually, my dd has a digital camera and is forever uploading photo's to her Bebo page from her friends pc so I will just resort to that if needs be. I just wanted a quick ta da solution.

I haven't the foggiest what my browser is either. I'm with Meteor (an Irish company) but browser options were for orange and o2 and I haven't a clue what I'm talking about now!

I have just tried uploading a picture of Thomas the Tank Engine to my profile, from my mobile (Nokia 6120). It worked fine, letting me select an image from my phone memory (though no image preview, so view images first and note the filename).

I think what you are talking about, is sending your photo by MMS or e-mail, to some kind of gateway which then stores it online. Sounds tricky.
Can you browse mumsnet on your phone?
If you go to My Mumsnet and select Photos, can you then click in the filename box and get a list of photos on your phone? That's how I did it from my Nokia.
Can't see that the phone network will make a difference, though if it's of help... I'm on 3.
I suspect it will be down to software within the phone - so the browser - which is either able to select and upload photos from phone memory/sim card, or it isn't.
Not sure if it is possible on non-3G phones.

Nope, no luck, when I try to do that it just shows up files from my pc. Never mind I'll get my head around it...............eventually! Thanks for trying to help though.

First setup a profile, by clicking on My Mumsnet and selecting profile.
Once that is done, surf the web from your mobile (not your PC). If you can't surf the web on your mobile... then you will need a way of getting the images off the mobile, onto your PC.

Think, I'll have to wait nannynick, the last time I surfed MN from my mobile, it ran up a charge of at least three quid for less than 5 minutes browsing!
