Geeky stuff

Absolutely beautiful things to buy, very pretty website, but is this the worst site to navigate on the whole internet?

I'm getting so frustrated trying to find out if they have what I want.

Is it me? Am I missing something?

Am tempted to write to them and comment.

See what you think.

I dont get what you mean.

I've just been on and it seems pretty straight forward.

it is in a lot of categories, isn;t it? but i have found a cool toasting fork !

Surely you add something you want to the basket and it tells you if it's in stock.
If you place your order and pay and then they later confirm the item isn't available, they'll put it back onto your card.

Lots of companies don't take payment from your card until it's dispatched anyway.

Is that kind of what you meant in your OP?

No, I meant the millions of catagories, which don't have names which indicate what's in the categories. And the collection of things in each category don't necessarily seem to have much in common. And each object is a v close-up pic with an arty name and sometimes I have absolutely no clue what the item is without clicking.

I only went there to see if they did garden furniture. It's taken me 20 minutes to establish that they don't. Probably.

It's probably deliberate so you click around until you find a cool toasting fork you never knew you needed!

I don't like the fact that you can't see the product properly and have to click on it too see it, or guess from the description, a clearer pic of each item on the individual section page would save a few clicks.

but it is very like the rl experience of poking round a junk/antiques/chichi gifts shop

which is probably what they were after

They do have some deckchair type things in the shoRE section . . .

I have already found the perfect shade for my french rise and fall lamp mechanism that our friend found in a skip.

I'm with you Brocolli. I'm just annoyed by it. the whole point of online shopping is that I don't have to go poking around in a shop.

It is fab isn't it Mehga. Just frustrating.

Soooo....

The FunfaRE category contains...

  • Crochet coat hangers
  • Plastic mats
  • Skull night light covers
  • Fairtrade woven plastic baskets from Guetemala.

    Of course it does.

I thought it was blardy irritating and pretentious (although the stuff is quite nice). But then I'm not feeling very tolerant today

I live near the RL shop behind REfoundobjects. It is fab, they have the most gorgeous stuff. And yes, the website does mimic the RL experience - but the RL version is more fun!

I really want the folding wooden 'peggy' in Fresh. Not sure why though. Or what I'd do with it.
