Why oh why do I keep getting asked to enter my "Network Password" for Outlook

It is driving me mad. I have my settings set up in Outlook to remember my password. So why doesn't it? I keep getting the feckin box popping up all over the shop. It is driving me mad. Then, outlook tells me that the server doesn't recognise my username and password and sends me an error message fairly sporadically. I use freeserve (or wanadoo, or orange or whatever the bloomin hell they call themselves these days).

Any ideas before I throw my laptop out of the window. It has been happening for a week now and freeserve are no bloomin use, they have reset my password 3 times now and say there is no problem "their end".

I used to get this all the time.

I gave up trying to solve it after the new password and account I set up started doing it aswell.

I just use a hotmail email address now...

Do you just use webmail then? Do you ever find it a bit cumbersome?

Outlook can get its knickers in a twist sometimes... ...re-service packing the beast can sometimes solve stuff like that. What version of outlook is it? (Go to Help/About).

Coolerama. There's a later service pack for Outlook 2003 now (SP3 strangely enough)
Service Pack 3 is here
office.microsoft.com/search/redir.aspx?assetid=DC102393781033&url=www.microsoft.com/downloads /details.aspx?FamilyId=E25B7049-3E13-433B-B9D2-5E3C1132F206&displaylang=en&hurl=DF8CBE14D9BC6DF64B10 3B41F9E2C492

and

Service Pack 2 is here
office.microsoft.com/search/redir.aspx?assetid=DC012304441033&url=www.microsoft.com/downloads /details.aspx?FamilyId=57E27A97-2DB6-4654-9DB6-EC7D5B4DD867&displaylang=en&hurl=5EFEF6874144430A3710 20FA6E5AE28B

SP3 is around 120Mb to download and SP2 is about 50Mb.

Stupid question alert, can I just do service pack 3 or do I need to do both?

Thanks for your help!
