I can send email (using Thunderbird via blueyonder) this morning, but not receive - keep being asked for a password, which I enter, and after several goes I get some highly helpful geekspeak gibberish message along the lines of "Sending of password failed because of your POP3 rectilinear vector 096868944345#$%£" glonthometer not having its 100-976~@~{} neutron flow properly reversed", or some such shit.
Blueyonder used to have a half-decent helpline when it was run by Telewest. Now it's Virgin, and they have changed the "help" line to 0800 561 0061, which is just some sodding propaganda line about how fucking great Virgin are. There doesn't seem to be a Speak To A Person option any more.
Any sensible ideas from anyone, or another number I could call? Before I kill Richard Branson?
And why can't computer people use messages which speak English?
Thanks.
