Could anyone tell me how to 'back up' the stuff on my Pc, please? (as per BT ad!)

I can't bear the idea of losing the photos etc. especially.

save them on to a hard drive and keep in a differnent building in case of fire

well I was thinking of a disk but not sure if that is called a hard drive!!
or pictures onto a CD ROM and keep them at someone else's house?

Oh Ok! I think I can put pics onto disc. I wasn't sure if 'backing up' is something, you know, different?
