can anyone help?

My phoneline developed a fault last Monday which meant I couldn't access the internet .
It was fixed yesterday but now when I am online it goes really slow and wont let me go on some sights for ionstance I can go on the ebay homepage but it wont let me sign in same with hotmail.
I have contacted my IP and they have checked everything and they are saying it alls eems fine also the internet light is flashing now and again on the modem .
Does anyone know what to do it's driving me mad

Try picking up the phone and listening for crackle on the line.

If there is still any sort of interference, your connection might struggle.
