Need a PC that can play The Sims 2 perfectly

I have money ready to buy a new PC, it MUST be able to play The Sims 2 perfectly....anyone know what I should be looking out for?

Also, I have no transport so what's the chances of me being able to bring a PC home today?

With no transport, I'm afraid your chances of bringing home a PC today is almost non-existent but it could be fun trying...
As for playing the sims perfectly, I seem to be under the impression that when dh wanted to play really elaborate games on the PC he ended up having to buy a bigger graphics card to slot in the back. I pretty sure if you look on the back of the sims box it should say something like

may i add that i am an absolute Sims 2 addict, but so dissapointed when finding out my laptop lagged when i had more than 2 sims in the house.

My new laptop, works perfectly! No lagging, no graphics problems... the specs do not actually meet the minimum requirements as listed above, they do need to be a bit higher in the following instances..

at least 512 MB RAM - essential
dual core processor - essential
min 128 MB Graphics card (any of those mentioned above)
i ran Win XP

other than that, the min requirements are fine.. do ask if you have further questions.. this is my fave topic
