Tablets for kids - recommendations please

At the moment my kids use my iPad to watch you tube and play a few games and puzzles (on free apps). I was thinking of getting a cheap tablet for them to use for this instead. Does anyone have any recommendations please? Something fairly inexpensive and durable I guess!

My neighbours have a Kindle Fire for their boys. It seems much easier to control what they do on it compared to an iPad from what I can see. You can set it so they only can only access games for a certain amount of time and then books only.
