Has anyone else got, or used, one of these? What do you make of it?

For four weeks I've been trying to use the one given to me by work and am tearing out my hair...the trackpad stopped workimg out of the blue and our ICT support and the manufactuter's helpline both just said this is a common issue and to connect a mouse, which I've done, but that doesn't work perfectly and is more cumbersome than using a trackpad.

Any comments on your experiences would be really welcome, thanks.
