Sony Cybershot Camera - can I/should I avoid the Sony Play Memories cloud software?

No idea OP, but if it helps any I have a Canon camera that has an image gateway online. I was uploading all my photos to that site via the wireless connection, but then realized putting the memory card directly into the laptop is a bit quicker and easier.

Is that the kind of thing you meant?
