Can I listen to audible.com audio books on my generic MP3 player?

I have just signed up for a free trial of audible , with the express idea of getting a couple of free stories for my Ds. to listen to on his very cheap MP3 player .

However I can't work out if this is possible . I have downloaded the files using the audible music player. and can play them on my pc, but can't copy them onto the MP3 player .

Any advice?

What is your PC running (OSX? Linux? Windows 7?) please? It might help so suggestions for any software may depend on what you are running.

This page has some useful info audible-uk.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3380/session/L3RpbWUvMTQxODQyMjY0Ny9zaWQvSFlPdUdLOW0%3D

And this one has a list of compatible devices - choose your brand from the drop down list

This is not answering your question but does your library not have downloadable audio books? Ours does and it's a great way of listening to audio books for free.

I'm not in the UK, so no local library , but I wonder if my mother's library would have that service . Thanks for the tip .

I'm not in the UK either but you would be able to use you're mums library card number if her library has the service. You don't have to pay for the books of course but the best thing is the can't be late so it wouldn't affect your mum at all.

Interestingly the library I went to in the UK has the same system as the one I go to here in Australia for audio books, one click digital.
