best parental control app?

Bought an asus memo pad 7 for 7 yr old dc for Xmas ( sorry to mention it in November). Can you recommend a good parental control app or do you have any related tips? I've been trialling a few but advice would be appreciated. Dc generally good at following my strictures on being safe on line but can't assume it will always be so.

I've started using Ranger Browser, not had it long but it seems quite good so far.
