I want a teeny tiny smart phone - HTC Wildfire upgrade. What's tiny and good?

I'm a very small person, and I want a phone I can put in my pocket, hold in one hand, clip to my belt etc. I need to do texts, phone calls, email, and take decent photos but I am not too bothered about music or social networking. I currently pay £7 a month for all I need on DH's old Wildfire and basically I want the next generation of this phone with more memory and faster processing? What's the Desire like?

The Desire C is pretty much the newer HTC Wildfire. Not used it myself so cannot comment on the camera.

Another phone worth considering would be the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini.

I've owned my new Samsung galaxy s3 mini for a week now and like it a lot.
Always had trouble with HTC but might have been unlucky.

I used to be a big HTC fan but the last few phones haven't impressed me at all.

The HTC Sensation I got didn't last and was full of bugs. I stupidly thought i was just unlucky, got another which just had a raft of other problems. The HTC Wildfire was so slow my wife refused to use it. So did the kids! And the HTC One looks great except they've done an 'Apple' and sealed the battery into the case so you can't swap it. A big no no in my book for an Android phone.

Galaxy S3 mini is what you want.

Thanks all, I'll go and look at the S3 mini and the Desire. I just like the HTC slogan!

comparison with Sony Xperia Tipo

I just mention the Sony Xperia Tipo (depends on which network you use, but they were around 50-70 quid 2-3 months ago) which runs Android v4 and is similar size as the Wildfire (10% smaller according to that site).

Ah, looking at your wish to take photos, the Desire C may well be better than the Tipo, but I have no idea what price they are...
